Breakfast

La Cava, Ibiza Town

Located in prime position on the Vara de Rey, this is a great spot to grab a casual breakfast and watch the world go by.

 Passion, Marina Botafoch

Set back off the main marina road, this is one of 7 Passions on the island, created by island personality Lana Love. Offering a wide range of juices, power smoothies, super healthy breakfasts and delicious home made cakes. The raw vegan brownie and the carrot cake are legendary! They also have cafes in Playa dén Bossa, San Jose and Santa Eulalia.

Cappuccino, Ibiza Marina

With stunning views across the water to Dalt Vila, this is one of the best locations of the island to drink in that iconic view and enjoy a beautiful breakfast.

The Giri, San Juan

Nestled within a 300 year old town house in the beautiful, sleepy Northern village of San Juan this is the perfect spot to enjoy breakfast with views of the campo, with much of the produce coming from the on site vegetable garden. From here go and visit one of the gorgeous beaches located on the San Juan to Portinax road

Chiringuito Blue, Santa Eulalia

Relaxed beach front restaurant serving all day with lovely views of the bay of Santa Eulalia and a stones throw from the newly opened W hotel.

Project Social, Santa Eulalia

Filling that spot for a relaxed place to grab eggs benedict and a really good coffee right at the entrance to Santa Eulalia port. They also have delicious burgers and salads and it’s in the perfect spot to grab a bite before a stroll along the marina.

Pikes Hotel, San Antonio

Head chef Lee Milne has been cooking up a storm for the last few seasons now and this hotel is always worth a visit. Great brunch and breakfast options washed down with one of the best Bloody Mary´s on the island.

Wild Beets, Santa Gertrudis

In the centre of the village next to the Pilates studio, this is a predominantly raw food and vegan menu serving great juices, smoothies and inventive vegan dishes. One of our favourites- the power balls and raw coconut porridge are delicious.

Brunch/lunch

Bar Tap Nou, Ibiza Town

Great little locals spot, attached to the fruit and veg shop next door. Inexpensive and delicious juices, tostadas and salad (the goat´s cheese is our favourite).

La Paloma, San Lorenzo

Offering mouth watering organic produce in a very laid back, Provencal type setting nestled in the orange grove in the centre of this sleepy village, an absolute must for lunch (try the Acai smoothie with its antioxidant boosting properties). Lunch (try the amazing hummus with lamb and the stuffed focaccias) or dinner (spaghetti a la vongole and a simple green salad to die for!) A total gem!

Cotton Beach Club, Cala Tarida

Chic lunchtime dining spot, perched above the beach at Cala Tarida. Stylish and all white- good sushi, fish and cocktails.

Es Xarcu, San Jose

A little off the beaten track and much loved by many island residents, this family owned and long standing restaurant serves super fresh fish and seafood perched on the rocks by this pretty little beach. Sun loungers available to flop on after lunch.

Yemanja, Cala Yondal

Open 365 days a year and serving the best fideau, salads and tarte tatin. In summer call ahead and book beds from where you can eat lunch should you wish. And if the mood so takes you can pop into the Blue Marlin located next door at the end of the day.

Cala Bonita, S´estanyol beach

Tucked down on this little bay a short drive from Ibiza Town, Cala Bonita offers thoughtfully prepared food in a stylish, rustic setting with lots of sun loungers on the beach to retire to after lunch. Do arrive early to get a bed in season.

Aiyanna, Cala Nova

Sister of the well known Amante at Sol d´en Serra, this relative new kid on the block serves a well priced and tasty selection of Mediterranean dishes as well as smoothies, juices and take away salads out of the Airstream located on the expansive deck of this lovely East coast spot. Cala Nova is a beautiful beach and never seems to get crazy busy even in high season. Highly recommended, as is the fish shack at the far left of the beach, where you can eat up under the pine trees on hot summer afternoons.

Cala Mastella

Famously the King of Spain was turned away from this North/East coast restaurant as booking ahead is essential and where there is only one option on the menu…Seafood rice followed by saffron infused fish and divine local potatoes. A real lunch time experience.

Bufalina, Ibiza Town

Simply one of the best pizzas on the island. Buy by the (huge) slice or order a 52cm beauty and tuck in.

Beach

Babylon Beach, Santa Eulalia

Very much focusing on a farm to table vibe and serving some of the best cocktails on the island, this great lunch spot located a short distance from Santa Eulalia is one of our favourites for a low key, stylish lunch with beautiful sea views and beds that can be booked in advance. Great children´s play park too where there is usually Kids In Ibiza in attendance to entertain the kids.

Beachouse, Playa d´en Bossa

Divine Italian food, elegant surroundings and giant day beds to retreat to on super white sand. Keep an eye out for their well known weekly parties too which tend to be really good fun.

Balneario, Cala Carbo

Kick back, chill out and totally disconnect at another one of our favourite west coast spots. There´s no DJ and very little people watching going on here- instead grab a bed and listen to the gentle lapping of the waves in this perfect little Cala. Good, old school, traditional Spanish beach restaurant.

El Chiringuito, Es Cavallet

Fabulous beach restaurant located in the sand dunes on the beach of Es Cavallet- see and be seen. They also have a great kids club and beach boutique. Look out for the oyster shucker as you wait for your starters to arrive.

La Escollera, Playa Es Cavallet

A truly atmospheric beach restaurant, specialising in Mediterranean cuisine with seating indoors and out and a lovely open fire for chillier out of season dining.  Es Cavallet is on the way to Salinas (follow the signs) and turn left prior to Salinas. Try the “chopitos”- tiny, delicious deep fried squid and the steak which has to be one of the finest on the island. The wild sea bass there is also divine.

Cala Xucular, San Juan

A little off the beaten track and with a “restaurant” located in a storage container on the beach, this is a real little gem and so worth escaping to from the crowds of the south.

The Boat House, Cala San Vicente

A long winding road takes you down to this large beach, with Boathouse located pretty much centre stage. Cool décor, lots of large hammocks and swings to kick back on and good Mediterranean inspired menu.

Sa Trinxa, Salinas

Perfect little south coast spot to hang out for the day- can get very busy in high season so we would avoid come July and August, but great vibes, simple food and interesting characters.

Cala Bassa Beach Club

Taking over most of this iconic beach on the West coast, there are various eating options here from the laid back chiringuito the the white table cloths and attentive service in the main restaurant. Also great to book beds here and be served whilst your toes are still in the sand. Can get very busy in high season when we´d recommend booking beds on the terrace at the back of the beach overlooking the sea.

Alma Beach, Port d´es Torrent

We always try to go their at least once in the summer months and every time we go we wish we had visited more often- Eat is life which is the sister restaurant always serves the most beautiful food, lovingly prepared and really well priced, you can book beds on the sand and the sunset there is beautiful. The back of the beach and the surrounding areas aren ´t our favourite to be honest but once you are sat at a table or on a lunger facing that crystalline water, drinking those sublime cocktails and eating their food it really doesn ´t matter.

Cocktails

Experimental Beach

One of the best sunset spots on the island, serving great cocktails and tapas. Grab a daybed and let the Balearic beats and that sunset soothe your soul.

Chiriniguito, Cala Escondida

Possibly one of the most beautiful spots on the island to enjoy a bite or some tapas early evening, grab a cocktail and watch that iconic sunset.

Sa Calma, Marina Botafoch

One of our favourites to enjoy a Campari and orange before going to Izacaya (located in the San Joan hotel) for the most delicious Japanese.

Los Enamorados, Portinax

Beautiful sunset spot in the North of the island, for those in the know- restaurant, hotel and bar at this super pretty little bay.

 S´escalinata, Ibiza Town

We love this very cool spot located up in Ibiza Old Town…grab one of the jewel coloured bean bags and watch the world go by.

Montesol, Ibiza Town

Choose between the super laid back roof terrace with views of the port or more of a hustle and bustle vibe down on the street terrace.

Nobu, Talamanca Beach

Five star low key luxury combined with super chilled, easy vibes. Order one of their signature cocktails and then head over to Sa Punta or La Bodega, Talamanca.

Hostal la Torre, San Antonio

Part of the Mambo group, and definitely the more sophisticated and laid back option to braving the crowds on the strip at Mambo. Breathtaking sunset spot with some of the best DJ´s on the island providing that magical Balearic vibe.

Dinner

Bar 1805, Ibiza Old Town

The best moules frites on the island (those triple cooked chips!!!) served with inventive and lovingly created cocktails. One of our favourite hidden away spots.

Izacaya, Ibiza Town

Located on the ground floor of the Sir Joan hotel, this Dutch restaurant chain (don´t let that put you off) has a really cool, almost Miami style vibe with tables around the pool and beautifully created and presented Japanese food.

Casa Maca, Ibiza

A slice of laid back heaven with a really cool, boho vibe- drinks are served out of an Airstream which is surrounded by fire pits and lounge seating. Incredible kitchen garden, the best DJ´s- quintessential Balearic spirit owned by the gorgeous Mambo family.

Trattoria del Mar, Marina Botafoch

Located right on the Marina with beautiful views of the old Town across the water, they do a great menu del dia out of season and consistently good Italian food.

Kyuppido, Dalt Vila

Magical and unique setting high up in the old Town. Super romantic spot serving Mediterranean and Japanese cuisine.

Sushinaya, Ibiza Town

Not the sexiest location in Ibiza town, but the sushi is great and its refreshingly well priced on an island where sushi can often be super expensive.

Fish Shack, Talamanca beach

You can´t reserve, there isn´t generally a menu (more you are told what the catch of the day is) and it won´t appear in many guides but this spot is pure Ibiza magic located past Sa Punta on the rocks at the end of Talamanca bay.

El Portalon, Ibiza Town

Spanish and Catalan inspired restaurant located in the labyrinth of streets in the old town, serving organic and locally sourced produce in an atmospheric setting.

La Bodega, Ibiza Town

Super lively and interesting spot located just off the main market square before you go up the ramp to the main gates of Dalt Vila. Good tapas, well priced drinks and always something going on.

Heart, Ibiza Town

A definite rival to Lio and our personal preference if you are wanting a different dining experience. Conceived by the masterminds behind Cirque du soleil, this is a night out that you’ll be repeating on your next visit to the island.

Patchwork, Talamanca Bay

Choose between 3 different restaurants and cuisines at this wonderful venue, run by one very discerning Frenchman, Rodolphe. Be it Mediterranean in the main restaurant, Middle Eastern treats in Patchwork or Asian fusion this is a highly recommended spot.

Taco Paco, Santa Eulalia

Best burritos on the island, killer tequila cocoktails, really well priced. Resident favourite.

Kokoro, Santa Eulalia

Great sushi, the loveliest staff and a really good central location right off the port. Great with kids too.

Balafia, San Juan road

Island institution serving grilled meats, patatas a lo pobre (scalloped chips with deep fried green peppers) and THE tomato salad. There´s a reason why you have to book weeks in advance in season.

Bambuddha, San Juan road

“Asian cuisine in this restaurant temple, fusing spiritual and sexuality in the heart of Ibiza” Definitely worth a visit on one of your Ibiza visits.

La Paloma, San Lorenzo

Sister restaurant to the café that is open by day- the most delicious Italian influenced food, served in a super quaint setting. Adored by most island residents!

Can Domingo, San Jose

Super cute setting in an old finca, 10 minutes out of Ibiza town towards San Jose. Fresh, quality produce made with love and respect. A perfect choice for a low key, intimate and magical dinner.

Destinos, San Jose

The place to go for a huge selection of tapas, in this family run spot in the centre of San Jose.

Macao, Santa Gertrudis

Some of the best pizza and Italian food 0n the island, served on this pretty terrace in the heart of lovely Santa Gertrudis.
