White island dreams

Tom and Chloe flew in from Dubai to celebrate their much anticipated Ibiza Wedding and it was a super stylish, elegant affair. They hired out beautiful Villa Alexia as their base for the week, located on the West coast, with its sleek white lines and stunning views. On the wedding day Chloe and her ladies were preened and prepared for the celebrations in this luxe surrounding.

Chloe kept her make up and hair as sleek and stylish as the Adam Shaw couture gown she wore, and the cala lilies with a hint of green finished the look off beautifully. A white Rolls Royce drove Chloe to the Church where they had a traditional wedding service, followed by the reception, hosted at Cotton Beach Club...the stylish, chic white look was clearly one favoured by the couple and this little jewel in Cala Vadella didn'tยดt disappoint.

The decor, flowers and cake also stuck to the all white colour scheme, and after guests had feasted on food such as parmigiana, grilled asparagus, chicken with rosemary and honey and many different Spanish style tapas, they hit the bar (serving cava sangria and passion fruit mojito amongst other things) and dance floor where Chloe literally let her hair down and the fiesta continued late into the night.

Slo mo baby

I always feel a little excited when I get a link to watch one of these slo mo party videos, which have become really popular the last few years. I defy you to watch it and you not jig in your seat...even just a little! Thanks to Jake Westwood for putting this fab one together of Darren and Kellyยดs gorgeous boutique hotel wedding in June.

Mi casa es tu casa

There is nothing quite so special and intimate as a wedding at home and for Emma and John, who married in their regular Ibiza "summer home" this was very much the case. With guests flying in from all over the world, they put on a highly personal, love filled affair with everyone getting stuck in.

The fact that they held their wedding in my family home, made looking through their beautiful wedding photographs by Thomas Alexander Photography even more enjoyable.

Emma looked stunning and super chic in her Emma Victoria Payne bespoke dress, with make up and hair by Lauren Barrie and I loved the blue of Johnยดs suit...he scrubbed up good Emma!

The decor was kept simple and stylish and set up by the creative ladies at Velvet Circus Ibiza, with an all white theme, touches of green and accents of the bright fuchsia bougainvillea growing in the garden, which was in full, glorious bloom.

Being huge foodies/wine/alcohol lovers (I say this in the nicest possible way!!!) the food and drink played centre stage, with the drinks reception kicking off with bellota ham being served, freshly carved in front of guests as well as other delicious Mediterranean tapas style dishes such as pimientos del padron, Spanish tortilla and porcini croquetas.  A served wedding breakfast of slow roasted lamb and sea bass, with salads and roasties, accompanied by the palest rose and a full bodied red, was followed by a sweet, punchy lemon tart......thanks to the super professional Cardamom Events and The Bar Ibiza xx

This beautiful wedding life involves meeting some interesting, passionate, determined, sometimes crazy people and I am so very happy to have met this particular gang! Canยดt wait for the reunion!!!x

Open air ceremonies

The starting point for any wedding has to be "where do I want the ceremony to be held" and for lots of couples, they want to do this in the pine scented open air of Ibiza, whether that be on the beach, overlooking the water from a beautiful terrace or in the campo. There is nothing quite like marrying outside and whilst I am also a sucker for a white washed chapel and a memorable, atmospheric Church wedding, if a Church wedding ainยดt your bag then you are spoilt for choice with the options open to you. Feet in the sand, in the grounds of a stunning private house or boutique hotel or a jaw dropping terrace overlooking the crystalline Mediterranean waters, here are just a small selection of possibilities......

Here come the girls

We have been lucky enough to collaborate with hundreds of Brides over the last decade and I always feel really proud and a little nostalgic when I look through the IW archives at all these different faces. Beautiful, strong, excited, wonderful women who all have dreams and expectations of what their wedding day will be like and more importantly what they want from married life. Corny I know but it really is a pleasure to go through this (sometimes crazy) process with these women and their partners, riding the (sometimes unpredictable) wave that is planning a wedding in Ibiza, making new friends, learning new lessons, working really bloody hard at times, but having so much fun doing it....thank you ladies, we salute you!
