Fatamorgana

Adela Baraja who shot this wedding has a strong background in fashion photography and it really shows in these super chic images of Tim and KatieΒ΄s wedding.

It was a dream set up for Adela as the ceremony was held at the cliff top with its jaw dropping views of Es Vedra and the reception was then held at one of the highest villas on the island, Fatamorgana, with views for almost 50 km to Formentera, and the most lovingly kept grounds and pools. Being a late May wedding the light was also perfect, and I searched through hundreds of beautiful photos to make a small selection here.

Katie rocked a beautiful gown with strong lines by Spanish designer Jesus Peiro and Ana Perez did the most gorgeous hair and make up. Thanks to our amazing team as always that pulled this one together....lucky to work with such talented people!

Pamper and catch up at home

As a busy working Mum of 3, it is always a treat to get my hair and make up done by the professionals and I love the whole process of a photo shoot, as well as chatting, eating cake and hanging out with my mates! Ana Lui @analuiphotography shot these images of Kerry and I at my house, as Ana wanted to submit them to Style Me Pretty Living and we also needed some updated publicity photos for our new website launched earlier this year. Jessie May Young @jessiemay_bohemianbeauty waved her magic hair and make up wand and made both Kerry and I feel fab....could so start every day with a little of this pampering! Thank you super talented ladies xx

Mi casa es tu casa

There is nothing quite so special and intimate as a wedding at home and for Emma and John, who married in their regular Ibiza "summer home" this was very much the case. With guests flying in from all over the world, they put on a highly personal, love filled affair with everyone getting stuck in.

The fact that they held their wedding in my family home, made looking through their beautiful wedding photographs by Thomas Alexander Photography even more enjoyable.

Emma looked stunning and super chic in her Emma Victoria Payne bespoke dress, with make up and hair by Lauren Barrie and I loved the blue of JohnΒ΄s suit...he scrubbed up good Emma!

The decor was kept simple and stylish and set up by the creative ladies at Velvet Circus Ibiza, with an all white theme, touches of green and accents of the bright fuchsia bougainvillea growing in the garden, which was in full, glorious bloom.

Being huge foodies/wine/alcohol lovers (I say this in the nicest possible way!!!) the food and drink played centre stage, with the drinks reception kicking off with bellota ham being served, freshly carved in front of guests as well as other delicious Mediterranean tapas style dishes such as pimientos del padron, Spanish tortilla and porcini croquetas.  A served wedding breakfast of slow roasted lamb and sea bass, with salads and roasties, accompanied by the palest rose and a full bodied red, was followed by a sweet, punchy lemon tart......thanks to the super professional Cardamom Events and The Bar Ibiza xx

This beautiful wedding life involves meeting some interesting, passionate, determined, sometimes crazy people and I am so very happy to have met this particular gang! CanΒ΄t wait for the reunion!!!x

Open air ceremonies

The starting point for any wedding has to be "where do I want the ceremony to be held" and for lots of couples, they want to do this in the pine scented open air of Ibiza, whether that be on the beach, overlooking the water from a beautiful terrace or in the campo. There is nothing quite like marrying outside and whilst I am also a sucker for a white washed chapel and a memorable, atmospheric Church wedding, if a Church wedding ainΒ΄t your bag then you are spoilt for choice with the options open to you. Feet in the sand, in the grounds of a stunning private house or boutique hotel or a jaw dropping terrace overlooking the crystalline Mediterranean waters, here are just a small selection of possibilities......

Here come the girls

We have been lucky enough to collaborate with hundreds of Brides over the last decade and I always feel really proud and a little nostalgic when I look through the IW archives at all these different faces. Beautiful, strong, excited, wonderful women who all have dreams and expectations of what their wedding day will be like and more importantly what they want from married life. Corny I know but it really is a pleasure to go through this (sometimes crazy) process with these women and their partners, riding the (sometimes unpredictable) wave that is planning a wedding in Ibiza, making new friends, learning new lessons, working really bloody hard at times, but having so much fun doing it....thank you ladies, we salute you!
